1. Parjanya: The second deity to the east of Ishaan is called Parjanya. Among the results attributed to this door is birth of the girl child and development of women. Some important Vaastu texts attribute this door to lakshmi, the goddess of wealth but some other scriptures differ and do not subscribe to this opinion. This door blesses women with very good qualities. Daughters belonging to families where Parjanya door gets opened unknowingly have been seen to be very talented. In India the male child is preferred, hence the opening of this gate or door has not been recommended in the texts. The other opinion is that the polarization of the power may bring imbalance in the family.
2. Jayant: Between the Ishaan and the middle of the east direction is the deity “Jayant”. Jayant is the son of Devraj Indra and Sachi. It is important to point out the mythological facts related to Indra and Sachi. This will help us have a better understanding of the results coming from the door or gate at Jayanta. Indra is the leader or ruler of the deities. Deities and demons always fought for the throne of the heaven to enjoy the riches and the comforts there. Once, after defeating the demons, Indra married the daughter of King of demons named Sachi. Jayanta was born to them. Jayanta has got both the qualities i.e. of deities as well as demons. The good qualities of the demons were their devotion, high level of concentration and efforts to improve their skills. So, Jayanta has got the qualities of both of them. This door gives immense wealth. Hence a person tries to discover and adopt ultra modern methods to earn wealth. It means that the modern day techniques of earning wealth can be learnt from this door, which in the present day vocabulary is known as “Marketing Techniques”. In this way this door provides wealth. This door brings excellence of skills, hence prove very good for the professionals. With the blessings of deity Jayanta, a professional learns how to make money and fame out of his skills.
3. Indra: Indra is the king of the deities. This door ushers in happiness from the king. In modern time this can be regarded as the one getting co-operation and happiness of high officials and the ruling elite. The door of Indra gives more respect as compared to wealth. Hence, if the door Indra can be stretched up to the Jayant door then wealth can be acquired through power or both income and respect can be earned in one go.
4. Ravi: Ravi is the deity in the middle of the east direction. The outcome of this door is annoyance. This door is considered unsuitable especially for the Industrialists. Those having this door in their premises are very short tempered and become arrogant. They often insult their important officers in a fit of rage. Consequently, due to the creation of a negative atmosphere not only production is affected but even the working class and the officials are unable to co-ordinate with each other. As a result, the factory goes into a position of loss due to fall in production. It is not possible for everyone to bear the excessive energy of the Sun. This energy is suitable for only those people whose contact area (social circle) is large and have powers with them. This important fact of energy has been given place in another important rule of Vaastu. As a rule, structures made from stone will belong only to kings because stones store more energy and kings or royalty alone has the capacity to bear this energy. In houses, this door results in disharmony and bitterness in relations. The temperamental fluctuation of the head of the family or the rest of the family members results in unwanted and unending arguments. As a consequence of all this, growth is hampered. Growth includes professional, financial and the growth of personality. Hence the opening of a door on deity Surya results in disputes hampering the overall growth of the individual.
5. Satya: Moving from the east direction towards Aagney Kona or south east the deity next to Ravi is Satya. False speech is said to be the outcome of this door. In houses, having this door some or the other inmates of the house utter lies due to one reason or the other, and weaves a maze of words. Uttering of lies ultimately leads to some grave results. There is always some big reasons behind the untruth as result of which the family members lose their way and whose negative effects have to be borne by the entire family. If an opening is there on this deity of Satya in an office or any commercial building, someone from the employees is found speaking lies. Someone very responsible is found misguiding others. In such a case growth cannot be expected.
6. Bhrinsh: The outcome of the door at deity Bhrinsh is cruelty. Bhrinsh is the synonym of kaam (lust). This door increases desires according to the tendency (nature) of the deity here and a man deviates from his duties. These desires become so strong that the person reaches the zenith of selfishness. A father consuming alcohol (liquor) ignoring the hunger of his children, the continuous chiding of earning less by a wife, spending more than her husband’s income etc are some of the examples of this kind of cruelty. If such a door exists in a commercial complex or office then often the high officials behave cruelly with their subordinates. Crimes done to fulfill the desires also come under this category.
7. Antriksha: This door just before the south east towards the east brings theft with it. Theft in the house or growth of tendency to steal in some or the other family members are the ill-effects of this door. Differences can develop in marital relations. Stealing activities like making forged documents in commercial establishments take place. The fist of Vastu Purush is said to be here and no deity dared to occupy this pada. As no deity occupies this place an opening here brings theft.
8. Anil: The deity situated in the south east is called Anil. Scarcity of sons (male heirs) is the result of this door. Scarcity of male heirs can have two meanings. Either no male offspring is born or if sons are there, they will be living away from home due to some reason or the other, be it due to his employment or due to separation in the family. This door can prove to be fatal for the eldest son of the family. In some instances, untimely demise of the elder son has been observed. This door is situated in the fire or Aagney Kona. Hence, the fire also enters from this door but in indirect form. Dehydration is an example of indirect form of fire because shortage of water in the body increases heat as a result of which the kidneys stop functioning. This leads to kidney failure. This door brings terrible accidents which again is an indirect form of fire. In many cases, cancer has been observed as a result of this door. The fire of this direction results in temperamental fluctuation also. Person takes decisions under provocation.

In commercial buildings this door or gate leads to accidents caused due to fire. The most striking result observed is the untimely demise of the elder son in case of a house and the main manager or holding person in case of commercial buildings.

10. Poosha: The first deity towards the south from south east is named Poosha. The outcome of this door is slavery. In the present day context ‘slavery’ means a situation where in a person having a running business is compelled to take up a job due to his circumstances. This door is adverse to wealth, that is it destroys wealth. Business incurs continuous losses due to some wrong decision taken or due to some other reason and gradually the level of lifestyle goes on declining. This door has the tendency to compel an industrialist to take up a job.
11. Vitath: The result of the door at deity named Vitath means behavior. This door gives rise to criminal and fraudulent tendencies. As a result of these tendencies a person tends to grab other people’s money through conspiracy and tends to adopt illegal ways to acquire wealth. In such a situation, the feeling of hiding the facts and the truth takes birth in the mind of the owner of the house. Incidents where a brother kills his brother for money or where a girl conspires with her husband to usurp her father’s property etc are examples of this. The presence of this door in commercial premises causes destruction. Any opening (gate or door) is strictly prohibited on this deity. While doing the Vastu planning we should avoid gates on the deities where the results are auspicious.
12. Grihatashat: Out of the 8 deities of the south direction a door on Grihatashat has been regarded as auspicious. This door leads to growth in life style and male heirs. This door brings good results for people engaged in business because it inspires them to take bold and courageous decisions. It is also important to note that this door compels one to adopt hereditary business which in return helps the family to prosper. Due to the existence of this door the father believes more in the capabilities of his son and the son too will believe more in ‘Aggressive Marketing’ as compared to the father. The proportion of progress grows due to the joint efforts of the family members as a result of which the family becomes prosperous. However, along with prosperity, this door also brings prosperity related ill effects. The synonym of Grihatashat is Buddh or Mercury. We know that adaptability is the most striking feature of Mercury. Mercury wants gains and so are the results if there is an opening at this deity. We have read that Mercury deviates from the right path very soon. This is the fear inherent in this door. Person starts making compromises for the sake of more benefits. Wealth increases but the virtues/value system do not get enrich. Usually a downfall has been marked after 3-4 generations.
13. Yama: Yama is the deity of the south direction. Yama is the deity of death. The result of this door is annoyance. When anger becomes uncontrollable the house owner comes to the fore and he acts without considering the pros and cons of the situation. This annoyance prevails amongst the members of the family. People of such families believe in punishment. They get their view accepted by punishing or penalizing themselves. They cross their limits due to their stubborn attitude and daring behavior which definitely leads to destruction and the person unknowingly treads on that path. Anger gets over the best of a person’s creative nature and begins to appear in the form of destruction. Excess anger gives blood pressure problems.
14. Gandharva: A door on deity “Gandharva” brings ungratefulness. A person feels cheated due to the effect of this door. He is often found saying that he did whatever possible for every one with all his might (body-mind and money) but got nothing in return. So here the question arises whether a person does ungratefulness from this door or himself falls prey to ungratefulness. The results, mostly, come from outside (are imported) hence the possibility of him been robbed are there.
15. Bhringraj: Door on Bhringraj brings poverty. Obstacles come in business through this door, especially financial problems are more. In most of the cases, the business comes down due to the shortage of running capital. Financial stress increases and management of loans etc. become very difficult. Due to scarcity of resources the closure of business becomes inevitable.
16. Bhrig: The deity called “Bhrig” is situated towards the Nairitya kona moving from the south door. The result is damage of son’s might and valor. It is important to note here that the father puts full faith in the son and the son also works with full sincerity but he does not get positive results. Lack of ability to take decision is its main cause. Balance in income and expenditure becomes difficult in the absence of policy formulation and hence losses accumulate as a result thereof problems in life increase. This door in a commercial building may bring losses due to mistakes in costing. In many cases it has been observed that policy or the company fails to meet the competition in the market.
17. Pitragana: The name of the deity of the south west direction or Nairitya kona is ‘Pitra’. The destruction of the son is said to be the outcome of this door. The residing deities of Pitralok are the synonym of Pitra. The ownership of this door lies with Planet Rahu. This door also brings the fear of the state in the form of various raids and court cases and the person continues to get entangled in them. As we have read that Rahu gives confusions and conspiracies, the same results can be seen from this gate also. We know that favors from the state or government comes from Sun. Blessings of Sun cannot be taken in the presence of Rahu, so an opening at this Pada results in problems from state or government.
18. Dauwarik: This door situated towards the west increases the number of enemies. Included amongst the various outcomes of this door are instances when a person makes more enemies by insulting the other person knowingly or unknowingly and becomes prey to the conspiracies plotted by the insulted person and incurs losses in business. When a person is in anger, in an outburst of revenge then he does not think about the results hence both the insulting and the insulted parties fall prey to this situation and themselves invite their destruction.
19. Sugriva: The results of the door on deity Sugriva are inauspicious since it wipes out chances of both wealth and sons in the family. Elaborating further, it means that inspite of having a son a person is not able to draw any benefit e.g. the son being a criminal or not giving any support etc. Even after making concerted efforts a person fails to gather financial resources. In this way there is no gain of son and wealth.
20. Pushpdant: “Pushpdant” The door of the west direction brings blessings in the form of sons, wealth and power. This door brings an increase in the working capacity and a person executes his tasks with full vigor and concentration. New avenues for acquiring wealth and income open up. Opening of this door brings up positive results in matters relating to barrenness. In many cases of childlessness, it has been observed that opening gate or door at Pushpadant gave encouraging results. Medicines and therapies worked out. Child birth came in favorable dasha and transits.
21. Varun: “Varun” is the diety of the west direction. Door on this deity gives auspicious results. Money and wealth are received through this door. The Moon and Varun have a very deep relationship. Like the Moon, Varun also gives excess of water and pleasure. This door gives more infatuation with worldly pleasures. Hence, it is impossible to achieve salvation through this door. A person acquires wealth from foreign lands under the effects of Varun.
22. Asura: The door on deity Asura, brings fear of the state. Planet Rahu is the synonym of Asura. Chances of raids by government agencies like income tax and sales tax are possible. Instances of confiscation of land by the state also comes under the results of this door. The door Asura is the place of Lord Rahu. The presence of Surya will be scarce in places where Rahu exists. Surya is the supreme power and hence when we talk about the scarcity of Surya, we mean lack of government or state patronage as a result of which tax agencies become active against the persons and give problems.
23. Shosh: From the west this door towards the North-West on deity Shosh does not give auspicious results. The destruction of wealth is the effect of this door. The synonym (Nighantu) of Shosh is Lord Saturn, the son of the Sun. Sudden financial losses are incurred due to the effect of this door. This door can bring heavy losses in commercial establishments etc from which it is almost impossible to come out. A situation of bankruptcy can come because of this door.
24. Paapyakshama: This door towards Vayavya kon or north west gives very dreadful results like death and imprisonment etc. This door gives birth to dissatisfaction in relations as a result of which situations like hysteria arises. A gradual downfall can be seen. The literal meaning of Yakshama is tuberculosis which brings decline and poor health. This door results in severe accidents resulting in death. It is very clear that growth & prosperity can never be attained if the main gate or door happens to be on this deity.
25. Rog: The door in North West (Vayavya kona) on deity Rog invites illnesses (diseases). Either illness prevails or some incurable disease comes in the family. The definition of the term “illness” will be some what different in the context of commercial establishments and factories. Fall in output (production), wrong policies etc are some of the illnesses implied to factories which gradually convert them in to sick industries.
26. Vasuki: Increase in the number of enemies is the outcome of this door on deity named Vasuki. The synonym (Nighantu) of Vasuki is Nag. The relationship of Nag can be connected to venom (poison) and conspiracies. Instances like committing suicide by consuming poison or betrayal by the most trusted (reliable) person are some of the examples of the effect of this door. In commercial establishments and factories, this door gives birth to instances like leakage of vital confidential information by the manager to outsiders or ‘showing exaggerated expenses in the books of accounts’. Food poisoning, reaction of medicines etc. can also be co-related to this door. The milder impact can be the habit of drugs, wine etc. in the family members.
27. Mukhya: This door situated towards North on deity Mukhya blesses one with male heirs and wealth in the family. Lord Vishwakarma is the synonym of the door Mukhya. One achieves success and a good life style from this door. A person is blessed with wealth in the form of intelligent and bright children. Vishwakarma represents the artisian class. The symbolic meaning is that skills can be enhanced through this door.
28. Bhallat: The door on deity named Bhallat is considered to be the door of Vipul Lakshmi (excessive wealth). The Moon is the synonym of Bhallat. Hence, this door is linked with wealth. Immovable property is also received from this door.
29. Som: The door of the north direction called “Som” has been regarded as the best of all the doors. The presence of this door leads to the growth of qualities and wealth (property). God Kuber is the synonym of Som who is also considered as master of all the wealth. This door is the one which brings prosperity from generation to generation.
30. Bhujang: The door on deity named Bhujang creates differences with the son. The father does neither agree with the policies of the son nor his style of working, even though the son may not be wrong. The father publicly insults and criticizes the son as a result of which ideological differences between them widen and the son goes on drifting away from the father. This difference may lead to big and drastic results. In one of the cases the father insulted the son and the son committed suicide. The father never came out of the guilt.
31. Aditi: The door on deity Aditi gives rise to defects in the females. Women living in joint families will quarrel with each other and will facilitate division of the house and the family. We can consider this door to be just the opposite of Parjanya Dwar the door by which the qualities in women grow. ‘Defects in females’ this phrase needs more explanation. In context to ancient Indian society defect was related to quarrelsome nature etc. In modern context we can take into consideration many other facts also.
32. Diti: This door situated in the Ishaan kona on deity Diti brings poverty. Prosperty begins to diminish because of this door. One goes on incurring losses in business and ultimately the person gets entangled in the maze of poverty.
