Namaste SA,

I would like to say you have successfully launched "The mission Impossible". B'coz removing rare manuscripts from the households of traditional families is not an easy task. Astrological fraternity will be indeed indebted to the pioneering work of SA family.

The articles are very rich in content and research. Though I don't agree with idea of bringing it thrice or twice a year, but admit that it takes more than an half-yaer to underatand all the articles.

As a ardent follwer of Jaimini System, I like the articles from Madhura Krishna Murthi Sastri, which expose the rare principles from ancient works on the system. Hope GOD bless him long life with happiness.

Article on Blindness is interesting and shows the amount of research the author put in Jaimini System, at times departing from clasical view.

Dear Sir,

sorry, I am not able to fill your form in Guest Book Sign, I do not know the meaning of many requested abbreviations. But since I have appreciated very much your magazine I wish to offer nonetheless my warmest thanks to you and to many of your authors.

In a time like this one in which the space for spiritual knowledge and reflexion on our mysterious world is lessening, such an editorial enterprise is a breath of fresh air and of hope in a possible renovation of the present anachronistic materialistic and superficial point of view .

When travelling in India in the Seventy and Eighty I was very much interested in Nadi Astrology, so I appreciated particularly the articles of Ashutos Kumar, the Sukar Nadi and the Brighu Nadi Jyotisham. Also, since have always cheked as very useful a work by late Doctor B.V.Raman on astrological yogas: Three hundred important combinations, I was very happy while reading his daughter's Mrs Gayatri Devi Vasudev article on Obama's Raja Yoga and U.S.Affairs. The complete works of B.V.Raman circulated in the Jungian Psychoanalytical circle in Italy since its founder, the psychoterapeut Ernst Bernhard, who had brought Jung to Italian Culture, was very deep both in astrology and in Eastern thoughtI and used to calculate the horoscope to each new patient, as Jung himself did.

I appreciated also the Balubhai and Vaghela article on the Illusive Effects of Nodes , a honorable effort to approach this most elusive and deeply interesting subject.

Of course as a Westener I am happy for the participation particularly of T.S.Stokes on M.P.Disorders and of my countryman Ciro Discepolo. In Italy he is a well known and very respected professional, a most dedicated and courageous scholar, a true pioneer. With his staff in past years he took part in the important statistical researches of the Gauquelin couple and of André Barbault, France, the Raman of Europe. Mrs. Maria Grazia Pelaia too who first gave notice to me about your magazine is a pioneer researcher with original thesis on the cult of Great Mother and on macro and micro cosmos.

So my warmest compliments and best wishes!

Last thing, would you mind to choose larger typographical characters ?For me it is quite difficult to read the present characters .And perhaps you could be always interesting with a minor number of articles, perhaps more condensed in numbers on one subject only . Your cultural offer and your fervor are so interesting that I think you would be followed and appreciated however the bulk of the magazine.

With blessins, wishing you and your dearest ones all the best ,

Luciana Marinangeli.

Dear Publishers,
I find your e-magazine very informative. It would be helpful if more of the research of the Honourable Mr. CS Patel is published. I have been a devotee of his Astronomical knowledge of Astrology. His Logic is unassailable. I have used it in various research questions myself and found answers that satisfy my need for accurate methods for predictions.
I will be honored to be called upon to contribute to your efforts in terms of efforts and work.

Greetings and many thanks for your kind words. There is some work of C S Patel which needs to be translated from Gujarati to English but due to lack of volunteers it is going slow and at a standstill now. God willing in future it would come out.
If we can request you to write an article on your researchers and also what you could learn from Patel Sahebs techniques it would help all of us in understanding his work better and implementing it. It would be a fitting tribute from your end to him.

Hi SA (personal name changed to SA)
as you see i am slow but i am reading the articles.

In relation with the article Nadi Method Marriage by Ashutosh, i find very interesting
search, the 9 year is in relation the Nodes cycles (9x2=18)
the 7 year cycle in relation with the Moon (7x4=28) Saturn and Uranus (7 years in a sign).
In my case
the 9 years method give me 6 months before.
the 7 years give me 2 months before, but what i find very interesting is that doing the calculation in the other way, starting with the date of marriage, is possible to adjust the Lagna... and of course time of birth.
I go to do this search, i will tell you later what i find.
Maybe is my ascendent is before the 23 degrees the time between the methods will be more acurate. i move one degree before the asc give me 324 days, then i need to move minutes of degree to have more accurate. i will tell you later what i find. i love to do this calculations.

Thanks for the creation of Saptarishis and the pleasure you give to people.
love Norah

Please Tell Ashutosh a big thank you from me, i love the work he is doing.

After reading the available manuscripts which downloaded from the internet few years back, i thought that oh astrology is all this and if i dedicate 1 or 2 years of my life to astrology, then i can also master it. But when i saw Saptarishis Astrology Magazine in the internet and started knowing about different manuscripts, i felt that even if i have the chance to spend few lifetimes in the field of astrology, at the end i will be nothing and i know nothing about astrology. Because it is such a minute and detailed oriented science where it needs variety of skills to master it. I dont have any words to praise the great work undertaken by saptarishis astrology team who are translating ancient and divine manuscripts and trying to decode what the ancients really preached in various forms. I wholeheartedly thank you very much for the great work you people are doing in bringing out the hidden treasures related to this divine science in the form of Saptarishis Astrology Magazine which will be useful to the present and future generations. And i even appreciate the team for one more reason that till Saptarishis Astrology Magazine came out, to my knowledge no other people ever dared to undertake the work of translating different manuscripts available in different languages and make it available to the public openly in the form of magazine for free of cost.

Dear SA (personal name changed)
There is no point in telling that SA is the best astrological magazine as of date because it is indeed so. You deserve all admiration's for bringing it to the lovers of astrology free of cost.
I would not like to be particular about any article or any author but I must say that some articles on Jaimini published in your magazine deserve special appreciation.

However; there is one area in astrology today i.e. RESEARCH where I cannot help telling following things
Research in astrology has unfortunately become every body's pass time game today. It is not being attached with the seriousness and acumen it actually deserves. I would like to be particular about Jaimini astrology. After going through numerous commentaries and articles it appears as if the scholars have failed to keep track with injunctions of JUS (Jaimini Upadesha Sutra). Research must look like a real research. Hope you would be able to fetch few articles that radiates with some original thought in Jaimini astrology.

Although I’m teaching Astrology for some time, I must admit I was not even aware of the existence of some of the ancient literature like Ravana Samhita in English. I sincerely praise you for the great efforts you are putting in unearthing these gems for the benefit of all. The articles on Nadi Astrology & Jaimini Paddathi are a whiff of fresh air. Till now I have seen books and periodicals offering some techniques based on only Statistical Research alone. Saptharishi Astrology is the only one sparking interest in students to do Fundamental Research & Applied Research as well. Each article offers informative knowledge and makes you to think deep. I pray God to give you the necessary strength and resources to move forward and bring out more and more issues of the magazine. Thank you & Wish you the best.

Dear Sir,
I think making a digital astro-magazine is a very good idea, and by making it available for free you are most certainly doing good service to astrology, and this effort should be saluted.
I have read a number of good and well-written articles in your magazine and these articles no doubt serves as great inspiration to many people. So keep up the good work.
Your magazine could however be improved if its basic concept was narrowed down a bit. It is too ambitious as it is and much too long.
In my opinion a more critical approach toward the quality of the articles is needed regarding research, relevance etc. I seriously think You should get rid of the articles about western astrology and focus on Hindu astrology. If the magazine wants to be a Jack-of-all-trades, then it may end up being a Jack-of-no-trades, which is not in the interest of anybody.

Finn Wandahl
Admin Reply by: SA Admin
Dear Finn,
As a friend of ours since many years thanks for your kind comments of encouragement, it means a lot to the team, to our writers and volunteers. Your comments are well taken and we take this as an opportunity to address issues raised by you and others here in a humble manner.

Regarding making it only Hindu astrology, many concepts in Western Astrology does open our minds which is a lacking in todays indian astro students. As you know modern research in Progressions in Western astrology is one of the most superior techniques that Indian Astrology should not avoid.
Saptarishis means Seven Sages or Seven ArchAngels which are there in every culture so astrology for each culture is different, focused and also broad at the same time, you would agree. Out of the box thinking and accepting different systems and cultures is the need of the hour hence Saptarishis Astrology must remain a Jack of No trades though we are tempted to make it only hindu astrology at times considering the distance between mumbai and the west. We are told that Hellinistic Astrology will bridge the gap between Vedic and Western astrology and we await Rob Hand to bring out more on that to explore more.

Regarding the size of the magazine yes it is the complain & suggestion of many. Saturn (discipline and hard work) is one of the key planets which makes one an astrologer but this planet in regards to astrologers have been ignored so far. In Hindu Astrology there are 3000 basic classic books in Sanskrit & Hindi, then some 2000 books written in last 100 years and minimum 30,000 manuscripts gathering dust which libraries would not part with copies easily . To study this would take time and space, an average client assumes that his/her astrologer has read and mastered all the available material before he goes to the astrologer. Whereas these days in last 15 years most astrologers have read 100-200 books in total before he begins practicing astrology. It is due to the sheer size of literature not read so far that scares us as to what is the state of astrology students these days before they venture out practising or writing on forums and this instigation via the size of our magazine (translation of manuscripts that we have started) to visit as many classics as possible is the aim of Saptarishis Astrology.
Re Quality of the magazine it infact should be reduced and as mentioned in earlier Volumes we are trying to reduce the quality so that new entrants in this science can read and benefit out of Saptarishis Astrology.

Some of the secrets of astrology are with you, which if not revealed Indian Astrologers will never ever get it and we once again request you with folded hands to write articles on it.

Love & Light

Apart from the unique content of the magazine, which far surpasses the typical mediocrity of journals on Jyotish on the market today, you also have deeply honored your guru in whose memory you have invested so much energy and love with this publication. Try to proceed keeping in mind the limitations of energy both physically and mentally, however, as by experience the literary projects that have the greatest longevity are the ones that are developed gradually. Robert,
Many thanks for your kind comments which encourages the volunteers and authors. We cant call Mr Patel our Guru though he considered us his beloved student, the reason is our knowledge is so limited we could not learn from him anything as he was too advanced in astrology but his love was and is so fulfilling that it automatically showered and opened the Jyotish Nadi especially after his demise, which is the greatest knowledge if rightly tuned if Guru wishes. The reason we dedicate last issue of the year in his name is he was so wronged by many stalwarts in astrology for the sake of money and fame. Last issue was big in order to bring to the notice of the astrologers in Jyotish that so much of material is pending, hidden and all must unite and work to get it out without thinking of name, organization or credit.

Saptarishis Astrology has completely changed the face of astrological research in the present era. Be it detailed research platform, be revealing ancient and obscure texts or be it a platform to showcase your genuine astrological talent, Saptarishis has created a brand name. They are detailed, hard-working and motivated individuals and there is not a name in modern astrological practice that would not want to associate with them. I have gone through a part of the magazine so far. as it is a very massive book (magazine) it requires atleast 3-4 months for an average student of astrology to read it. it is indeed an excellent work done. i appreciate the efforts put in to bring out the rare manuscripts translate them in english and provide for the benefit of the students. i can also understand the complexity involved in coordinating different sections of astrologers and bringing them on a common platform. i earnestly request the readers to practice the techniques given in the magazine on number of horoscopes to make themselves perfect on each of the techniques. i also take this opportunity that there should be atleast one or two articles for the benefit of beginners in astrology as all the articles in the magazine are for the students who have already travelled a certain distance in the pursuit of learning astrology.

My Dear SA (name deleted)
I am not surprised that in your Kumbha mahadasha in Chara dasha and Meena and Mesha antardashas you have launched this massive digital magazine which is a big strain on my weak eyesight. In Kumbha-Vrisha your life of single blessedness should also end.
I read some articles which appear to be gems excavated out of lost traditions. I am ofcourse referring to Madhuri Krishnamurthy Shastry.
But you have also published some articles which are abusive and unresearched pieces. Avoid it to keep up the dignity of an academic journal.
If you can improve the font size by making it larger and reduce the size to say total four hundred pages, you can sustain interest of your readers and not get exhausted soon and struggle to find new writers. Well begun is not always half done in astrological journalism as I have seen so many journals die prematurely. More often than not well begun is soon “undone” . Remember this and slow down and reduce the size of the next issue.

Sir, thanks for your kind comments of encouragement. There is a zoom-in feature in the Pdfs or flash versions but if one prints the mag, it does not happen. Will increase the font size and had earlier increased it from 11 to 13.5. Regarding the controversial article, you might be referring to, in the final released edition it was edited.
We remain indebted to you for Vishnu Sahasranaam & for revealing the real secrets of D60 to us few years back (probably it was Oct 2004 if memory serves right) which changed our mindset from spending time in forums to more real inner work in astrology. The magazine will be undone within few years when we finish with the 300 BSP techniques & hand over the mag to someone. Our time is short hence such long volumes. Regards, Admin

It is after a long time that I am looking at an astrological magazine that is devoted to bringing out the ancient knowledge of our seers in the field of the divine science of astrology. It is heartening to note that instead of being confined to monthly predictions for Rasi, that are too general to warrant any serious attention, the whole thrust is on providing knowledge of different methods of predictions. The effort to bring old manuscripts to public notice is also laudable.

I have gone through the December issue of your online magazine SAPTARISHIS ASTROLOGY. It offers highly informative fare on different aspects of astrology coming from respected figures in the field. I am quite certain your efforts to take this ancient yet contemporary science to an intelligent and enlightened readership worldwide will add to the momentum generated by my father Dr.B.V.Raman's endeavours to present the subject as an academic discipline. I am sure father's blessings are fully on you. I wish you all the best in this effort which is close to my heart too.
Best wishes,

Dear Maam
Thanks for inaugurating the Guest Book with your kind comments, it means a lot

It is most strange, whenever I have faced depression or some troubles while running the magazine in the last 2 years I would only remind myself to ask 'What would Raman Saheb' have done in this situation, how would he have faced the e... of Indian astrologers and still gotten good articles from them.

Infact the next issue I wanted to start a dedicated column for Raman Sahebs work and am still planning on creating something unique in that regard. For 2 years its been a constant pain as we have felt guilty that we did nothing in memory of Dr Raman.

It is very nice to see a quality Jyotish publication being made available, and that without charge. There are just so many thousands of Jyotish techniques and Saptarishis Astrology is a needed portal to bring this to the attention of the many developing and professional astrologers around the world. I find each issue to be wonderful food for thought.
